Targeted Students: Students who are presenting on their PBL (Problem Based Learning) project and are in need of professionals that can provide feedback on the solution they are proposing to a real world problem. A PBL consists of a real world problem where students collaborate with their peers to develop a solution to would solve that problem.
Student Benefit: Students that have panelists as the audience for their project benefit by (1) receiving feedback from professionals or experts or community members in the field associated with their problem, (2) gaining an outside perspective they might not have considered, (3) building confidence and developing presentation skills, and (4) having the opportunity to share their unique perspective with someone that might be able to use it.
Partner Benefit: Partners that are panelists benefit by (1) listening to solutions for problems that might apply to their own line of work and (2) receiving a fresh perspective on issues that relate to their field of expertise.
The Role This Partner Would Fill: Partners that are panelists will sit in on student presentations. Panelists will then receive an opportunity to provide feedback to groups about their presented solution.
